Andrew Bishop, DO
Dr. Bishop earned his medical degree from Des Moines University in 2014. He went on to complete his residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at the University of Illinois / OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois in 2018. His diverse medical interests span primary care, adult survivorship for complex pediatric illness, geriatrics, long term post-acute care, and occupational medicine. His interest in aviation medicine developed through conversations with patients seeking an aviation medical examiner. Much of aviation medicine coincides with his recreational pursuits. Dr. Bishop trained and certified with the FAA in 2024.
Christopher White, MD
Dr. White learned to fly with his grandfather at age 8 in the front of a J-3 while sitting on a phone book. He later earned his private pilot’s license at age 17. He went on to study medicine at Loyola University Chicago, graduating in 1984. He completed training in family medicine at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa in 1987. Dr White returned to flying while taking part in the US Army Flight Surgeon Course. Following his initial time in a TH-55, he had further training at the aviation unit level in the UH-1V, OH-58A, and MD-500. He became an AME in 1995, and now functions as a senior AME. Dr White is also an instructor of Scuba Diving for NAUI/SEI.
